Ellen Ratner, a talented individual, hails from the vibrant city of New York, where she embarked on her educational journey at the prestigious High School of Performing Arts, laying the foundation for her future endeavors.
Upon completing her secondary education, Ratner pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at the City College of New York, CCNY, further honing her skills and broadening her intellectual horizons.
Following her graduation, Ratner dove headfirst into the world of stand-up comedy, performing in the city that never sleeps, NYC. Her experiences in this realm were undoubtedly shaped by the guidance and mentorship of two of her most esteemed acting instructors, the renowned Jose Quintero and Salem Ludwig.
In a creative collaboration that would yield remarkable results, Ratner co-wrote an award-winning one-woman show, Personality, alongside screenwriter Gina Wendkos, a partnership forged during their formative years at drama camp, where they first met at the tender age of 15.
