Ellen Hollman is a talented actress who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry by bringing a wide range of characters to life on both the big and small screens. Her latest projects include joining Keanu Reeves in the highly anticipated film Matrix 4, directed by Lana Wachowski, as well as the upcoming action-adventure movie Monster Problems alongside Michael Rooker and Dylan O'Brien.
Hollman's impressive resume includes starring as Saxa in the hit STARZ series Spartacus: War of the Damned and Spartacus: Vengeance, which was one of the most buzzed-about shows in STARZ history. A skilled jiu-jitsu practitioner, she is also known for her intense performances in major roles on NCIS: New Orleans as recurring antagonist/assassin Amelia Parsons and AMC's groundbreaking martial arts series Into the Badlands.
In addition to her work in television, Hollman has also appeared in a number of notable films and series, including recurring roles on Ryan Murphy's 9-1-1 on FOX, Navy SEAL series Six on A&E, Lethal Weapon, and Hawaii 5-0.
Born in Michigan, Hollman was raised by her father Hart Hollman, a violist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and her mother Julie, a master pianist. With a strong foundation in the arts, Hollman spent countless hours in the Opera House and Orchestra Hall, surrounded by classical brilliance. In her teenage years, she decided to pursue a career in the arts herself, moving to New York City to study at various acclaimed acting studios and hone her craft.
In 2004, Hollman relocated to Los Angeles, where she quickly began landing projects within a year of her arrival. Aside from her acting career, Hollman is also the CEO of Visual Impact Now, a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles. Visual Impact Now serves as a fundraising and awareness arm for their partner ONE SIGHT, providing free eye exams and glasses to children and families who are unable to afford them.
Over the years, Visual Impact Now has partnered with numerous high-profile events, including the Golden Globes Style Lounge, Coachella, Sundance, LA Fashion Week, and more. Their host committee members and supporters have included Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Debra Messing, Malin Akerman, Shaun White, January Jones, and Taylor Lautner, among others. To date, the organization has serviced over 7,000 LA youth with eye care and glasses.
