Elith "Nulle" Nykjær Jorgensen, a multifaceted Danish artist, was born in Gentofte, Denmark. He is a jazz musician, composer, screenwriter, actor, and television employee, whose remarkable career has spanned decades.
As a musician, Elith Nykjær is self-taught, and his professional journey began in the early 1960s in Cap Horn, Nyhavn. During this period, he played with various jazz orchestras, including the Cap Horn Blowers, Papa Benny's Jazzband, and Basse Seidelin's Jazz band, showcasing his exceptional musical talent.
Throughout the 1960s, Elith Nykjær's musical abilities were in high demand, and he continued to play with renowned jazz bands. From 1968 to 1977, he was a member of Fessor's Big City Jazzband. As a skilled multi-instrumentalist, he plays the clarinet, alto saxophone, and harmonica with ease.
In 1977, Elith Nykjær made a significant career change, leaving his position as a props operator at Danmarks Radio. This marked the beginning of his full-time focus on his artistic pursuits.
In 1991, Elith Nykjær made his acting debut in the play "Mathias," where he played the role of Jesus. Since the late 1980s, he has been the leader of his own group, "Nulle & Verdens Orkestret," which has toured the United States and most of Europe. Additionally, the group has performed at the annual Copenhagen Jazz Festival in Denmark.
