Elisabeth Brooks Luyties, a talented actress, writer, poet, and musician, was born on July 2, 1951, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her acting career, which began at the tender age of five, spanned both stage and screen, with a repertoire that included television roles in the mid-1970s and beyond.

As a single mother, Brooks juggled her acting career with various jobs to support herself and her son, while still finding time to pursue her passion for acting.
