Elaine Hallam, a talented British actress, embarked on her illustrious career in 1979, courtesy of Cameron Mackintosh, who entrusted her with the iconic role of the Vamp in the original London run of Godspell. This marked the beginning of her successful tenure in West End Musicals, with notable performances in Pirates of Penzance at Drury Lane.
As a busy jazz singer in London, Elaine's theatre credits include esteemed institutions such as the National Theatre, the Royal Exchange, Liverpool Everyman, and numerous repertory seasons across the nation. Her extensive television repertoire features BBC dramas like Black Daisies for the Bride and Dark Adapted Eye, as well as ITV and Channel 4 dramas including The Chief, Wycliffe, Wild West, Coronation Street, Brookside, and her most recent role in Lucky Man for Netflix.
Elaine's film credits include Three Steps to Heaven, Queen of Hearts, directed by John Amiel, and Inner Space for Picture Perfect and Dusk, directed by Jake Graf. In 2014, she produced the short film Dust to Dust, which garnered numerous festival awards, and she continues to direct Yellow Rose Productions, her own ensemble London theatre company.
As a proud mother, Elaine is also the parent of RADA actress Skye Hallam, who has inherited her mother's passion for the performing arts.
