Ismet Ekin Koc was born in Antalya and pursued his education at Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of Business Administration, after completing his high school education. His father, Vehbi Koç, is a tourism professional, and his mother, Sefika Koç, is a banker. Due to his father's job, Ekin attended different schools for his primary education. He finished his high school education at Aldemir Atilla Konuk Anatolian High School in Antalya.
Ekin took acting lessons from Akademi 35 and a half Art House in Istanbul in 2011. He also received training in basketball, chess, tennis, football, and guitar. He made his acting debut in the fantasy series "Sana Bir Sir Verecegim" in 2013 alongside Demet Ozdemir. He then appeared in the period series "Benim Adim Gültepe" in 2014, playing the character of Seyfi, and in the movie "Senden Bana Kalan" in 2015, where he shared the lead role with Neslihan Atagül.
Ekin portrayed the character of "Mehmet" in the movie "Ali and Nino", adapted from "Ali & Nino" written by "Kurban Said", which is considered one of the important works of 20th century literature. He also acted alongside 'Halit Ergenç' in this movie. He played the character of "I.Ahmed" in the TV series "Muhtesem Yüzyil Kösem", which started in November 2015, and Nuri in the crime series "Bozkir" in 2018. He also played the character of "Ahmet Sencer" in the TV series "Awakening: The Great Seljuk / Uyanis: Büyük Selcuklu", which came to the screens in 2020.
Ekin Koc won many awards in various festivals for his roles in 'Ferit Karahan' movie 'Okul Tirasi / Brothers Keepers' in 2021 and 'Emin Alper' movie 'Kurak Günler / Burning Days' in 2022. He is also the guitarist and backing vocalist of Blue's band 'Day off Kolektif'.
