Edith Snow was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Martha Park, a registered nurse, and Eric Sause, a human resources director and consultant. She has an older sister who is a social worker and a younger sister who is an artist.
Edith graduated from the high school drama program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, where her drama teacher encouraged her to form her own opinions about the world. This led her to pursue a career in the performing arts.
After studying theater and speech-language pathology at the University of North Carolina, Edith moved to Los Angeles, California, where she landed roles in student films at UCLA and USC. She was then accepted into Gallaudet University's M.S. Program in Speech-Language Pathology, where she learned American Sign Language.
While pursuing her studies at Gallaudet, Edith also performed as a voice actor in university productions. After graduating, she was invited to study with the National Theater of the Deaf for two consecutive summers and toured with their Jr. Company.
Edith has appeared in several television shows, including Homeland, TURN: Washington's Spies, and One Tree Hill, as well as Marvel's Echo. She has also appeared in several independent films and won Best Actor at the Carrboro Film Fest 2014 for her roles in two indie shorts.
In addition to her acting career, Edith is a singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist of the lounge-noir band, The Drowning Lovers. She has also studied documentary filmmaking at Duke University's Center for Doc Studies and has produced two short films, "Keepsake" and "Cheat-Proof," which have screened at small festivals throughout the US and beyond.
Edith currently splits her time between North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia, where she lives with her husband and bandmate, Paul.
