Eddie King, a seasoned actor with over forty years of experience, has been busy wrapping up his latest film project, Lilly, starring the talented Patricia Clarkson and directed by Rachel Feldman, which is set for a 2023 release. This is not the first time Eddie has worked on a notable film, having previously appeared in American Animals alongside Barry Keoghan and Alice, starring Common and Kiki Palmer.
Eddie has also had the privilege of collaborating extensively with filmmaker and actor Ray McKinnon, starring in McKinnon's Oscar-winning short, The Accountant, and his feature film, Chrystal, starring Billy Bob Thornton. Additionally, Eddie has made appearances in several television mini-series, including The Civil War, North and South, Queen, The Class of '61, In the Heat of the Night, and Savannah.
Prior to his film career, Eddie honed his craft in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a fixture on the local theater scene. He was a member of several prominent theater companies, including The Alliance Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, Horizon Theatre, Seven Stages, and The Theatre on the Square. Some of his notable leading roles include performances in the Southern premieres of The Heidi Chronicles, Blue Window, Mass Appeal, A Walk in the Woods, and The Boys Next Door.
Eddie was also a co-founder of the Georgia Ensemble Theatre, along with the late Bob Farley, and created Late Night Rock-n-Roll Theatre at Theatrical Outfit. Furthermore, he toured with The Phone Booth Theatre Co., performing original works by the company throughout town squares in Europe.
In addition to his acting credits, Eddie has also directed numerous plays throughout the United States. Eddie and his wife Jennifer are currently preparing to become empty nesters as they navigate life with their two children in Southern California.
