Ed Bradley

Ed Bradley's educational background included graduating from Thomas More Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, followed by a stint at Cheyney State Teachers College, now known as Cheyney University. Prior to embarking on a career in journalism, Bradley was teaching sixth grade in the Philadelphia public school system. However, his life took an unexpected turn when he accepted a dare to report the news on a local radio station. He became enamored with the field and continued to provide news coverage for free until his reporting on a local race riot caught the attention of a major news outlet in the area. This breakthrough led to the launch of his professional career in journalism. For more than a quarter-century, Ed Bradley was a stalwart contributor to the esteemed CBS news program 60 Minutes. He was renowned for his thoughtful and perceptive news reporting and interviewing style, which earned him widespread recognition and acclaim. Sadly, Bradley passed away on November 9, 2006, in New York City due to complications from leukemia.
