Dorota Kolak is a renowned Polish actress and accomplished academic teacher, boasting a rich educational background that includes her graduation from the prestigious National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow in 1980.
Her professional journey began at the Wojciech Boguslawski Theatre in Kalisz, where she remained from 1980 to 1982, before establishing a long-term association with the esteemed Wybrzeze Theatre in Gdansk, a relationship that has endured since 1982.
In addition to her acting career, Kolak is also a dedicated pedagogue, sharing her expertise by conducting classes in acting, plastic movement, forms, and styles of stage movement at The Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk.
Her academic achievements are equally impressive, as she habilitated at the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz in the discipline of theatre arts in 2015, and was subsequently conferred the title of professor of film and theatre arts in 2023.
