Biography

Dorian Boguta, a renowned actor, was born on April 24, 1971, in Kishinyov, USSR, which is now Chisinau, the capital of the Republic of Moldova.

He pursued higher education at the prestigious Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University in Georgia, graduating in 1992.

Boguta kick-started his acting career at the National Theatre in Chisinau, where he played numerous lead roles, showcasing his remarkable talent.

In 1999, he relocated to Bucharest and transitioned to film acting, gaining recognition with the TV series "Lombarzilor 8" in 2006 and later with "Francesca" in 2009, which garnered widespread acclaim and attention at numerous film festivals.

The year 2009 marked a significant milestone in his career as he made his directorial debut with the short-film "10," initiating a series of highly successful short-films, including "From now on" in 2012, which won several awards, including the Best Romanian Short-Film award.

Boguta's passion for acting and directing led him to co-found actoriedefilm.ro with fellow actors Dragos Bucur and Alexandru Papadopol, a unique venture that combines an acting school and a producing company.

Their mission is to introduce their students to a realistic and natural acting style, free from artificial constraints.

In 2013, actoriedefilm.ro produced its first feature film, "Love Building," which became one of the most successful Romanian films in the Romanian box office.

Currently, Boguta is working on a project set to be released in 2015, marking his directorial debut in a feature film.
