Donna Garrett, a renowned stuntwoman, stunt coordinator, and actress, was born Donna Lee Funk on November 17, 1942, in Santa Ana, California. Growing up in the suburban area of Los Angeles, she attended L.A. Valley Junior College, majoring in physical education.
It was during a rehearsal for the acrobatic square dance troupe Homer Garrett's Why-Not Twirlers in 1961 that Donna met her future husband, Ralph Garrett. The couple tied the knot three years later, in 1964.
Donna began her career in the film industry in the mid-1960s, performing stunts in movies. Over the years, she doubled for numerous notable actresses, including Raquel Welch, Jacqueline Bisset, Angie Dickinson, Barbra Streisand, and Ali MacGraw.
In addition to her stunt work, Donna also appeared in small roles in a few films and television shows. Furthermore, she served as the Vice President of the Stuntwomen's Association of Motion Pictures in the 1970s, an organization she co-founded in 1967.
As a dedicated mother, Donna is the proud parent of two children: daughter Nicole and son Damon.
