Indian actor Divyendu Sharma is a talented individual who has made a mark in both web series and Bollywood movies. His academic background is impressive, having graduated from Delhi University's Kirori Mal College with a degree in Political Science. He further honed his acting skills at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India in Pune.
After completing his education, Sharma struggled for over three years to find his footing in the film industry. During this period, he worked part-time to fund his meals and even joined a theatre club called 'Players' to improve his acting skills. His persistence eventually paid off, and he started landing small roles in ads and films.
Sharma's breakthrough role came in the 2007 film Aaja Nachle, where he played a supporting character. The film, directed by Anil Mehta, featured a star-studded cast including Madhuri Dixit, Darshan Jariwala, Divya Dutta, and Dalai.
In 2011, Sharma appeared in the film Pyaar Ka Punchnama, where he played the character Liquid. The film, directed by Luv Ranjan, was a commercial success and earned Sharma the Screen Award for Male Newcomer (Most Promising) for his performance.
Since then, Sharma has appeared in numerous films, including Chashme Baddoor, Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, Toilet: A Love Story, The Icebreaker, Kanpuriye, Odd Couple, Shukranu, Thai Massage, and Mere Desh Ki Dharti. He has also been featured in web series and shorts, such as Bicchoo Ka Khel, Salt City (India),and Fatafat.
Sharma's portrayal of Munna Tripathi in Mirzapur (2018) was widely praised, earning him the Best Supporting Actor award at the iReel Awards 2019. His performance in Fatafat (2019) also earned him the Best Actor award by IWM Digital.
