Person Biography:
Diane Robin was born in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, defying the stereotype of being a New Yorker. Her journey in the world of acting began in high school, where she received a scholarship to the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. She was the youngest person to be accepted into the adult program, showcasing her immense talent and dedication to her craft.
After completing her training, Diane got a manager who convinced her to take a bold step and sneak onto the Universal lot. She personally hand-delivered her picture and resume to a casting director, but unfortunately, her plan was foiled when she was thrown off the lot by a security guard. However, she didn't let this setback discourage her and instead shared her story with a complete stranger. To her surprise, the stranger turned out to be an agent who didn't have anyone like her. He signed her on the spot, and the next day, she auditioned for the role of Didi in Angie, playing the part of a waitress with a heart of gold.
Since then, Diane has gone on to appear in over 150 television and film productions, working with some of the most renowned actors and directors in the industry. She has shared the screen with Academy Award winners such as Holly Hunter, Robin Williams, and Jeff Bridges, and has collaborated with legendary directors like Terry Gilliam, Peter Hyams, Chris Columbus, and Paul Verhoeven.
Diane's impressive resume includes guest appearances on popular TV shows like NCIS, Desperate Housewives, and Night Court. She has also costarred in numerous Hallmark and Lifetime movies, including McBride, Mystery Woman, and Annie's Point. In addition, she has appeared in films like Authors Anonymous, House of Deadly Secrets, and Lifetimes You Can't Take My Daughter.
In recent years, Diane has continued to excel in her career, starring in the Indie Award-winning comedy Dating Daisy and costarring in Lifetime's Deadly Due Date, The Wrong Family, and As Luck Would Have It. She has also completed filming A Nanny to Die For, Fatal Fixer Upper, and The Wrong Obsession.
One of Diane's most exciting projects is her acclaimed comedy web series Strange Therapy, which she stars in and co-wrote. The series is now available on Amazon Prime. She has also co-written Hallmark's romantic comedy, Just One Kiss, starring Santino Fontana and Krysta Rodriguez.
