Diane Cary is a talented Italian American actress, best recognized for her iconic role as "Harmony" in the classic television series V (1983). Prior to her television career, Cary honed her skills as a Groundling and performed stand-up comedy at the Improv and Comedy Store. She went on to appear in recurring comedic roles in the series ALF (1986) and the pilot "Quail Lake" alongside Bill Maher. Notably, Cary is often compared to esteemed actresses Edie Falco, Bebe Neuwirth, and Patricia Clarkson, with a unique twist.
Born and raised in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, Cary began her acting journey at the tender age of 13 in the Croton Shakespeare Festival. She subsequently performed leading roles in the Festival, including the title character in a 5-hour production of Cymbeline. This impressive start earned her a scholarship to the Theatre Arts Department at the University of Denver, where she graduated cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. Following her graduation, Cary relocated to Los Angeles, where she commenced her career in television and film.

Some of her notable stage credits include the Dramalogue/Ovation award-winning productions of "Song for a Nisei Fisherman" at the Mark Taper Forum-Taper Too, "Standing On My Knees" at The Zephyr Theatre, and "Pineapple White" at East-West Players.
