Diana Nguyen is a talented and accomplished individual, having graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in drama and theatre studies. She further honed her craft by studying full-time at the Victorian College of the Arts Theatre School, under the guidance of renowned instructor John Bolton, in 2016.
As a co-creator, co-lead actor, and executive producer, Diana brought her creative vision to life with Phi and Me TV, a webseries that originated as a Melbourne International Comedy Festival show in 2014. With the help of a successful crowdfunding campaign, which raised an impressive $27,000, the project came to fruition. In 2019, Screen Australia provided additional funding of $52,000 to complete post-production, and the webseries premiered on June 16th at www.phiandme.tv.
Diana's impressive screen credits include appearances in Underbelly, Jack Irish, Please Like Me, Fat Pizza (Channel 7),and 5 Bedrooms (Channel 10). She has also made guest appearances on LIVE TV shows such as Q&A (ABC),Friday Front Bar (Channel 7),Fox Footy (Foxtel),and The Project (Channel 10),promoting Phi and Me TV.
In addition to her screen work, Diana has performed in feature films, including the Bollywood productions "Chak De India" alongside Shah Ruh Khan and Sagarika Ghagte, and the upcoming film "The WhistleBlower".
As a stand-up comedian, Diana has been performing since 2016 and has toured extensively across Australia, the Edinburgh Fringe, and the United States.
Diana's future projects include writing for the screen and working with Storybox Productions on a documentary. She was also a part of the Grand Jury for Melbourne WebFest in 2019.
