His high school career began with a unique opportunity to present daily news on a closed-circuit broadcast. This experience laid the foundation for his future pursuits in broadcast journalism. Denny went on to earn a degree in broadcast journalism and gain valuable experience at the campus radio station, WFAL, and the off-campus station, WFOB, in Fostoria, Ohio. As a sportscaster, he developed, produced, and sold sponsorships for his shows, making him a skilled professional in the field.
In 1973, Denny made history by launching the first radio show in the country to exclusively cover women's sports, as featured in WomenSports Magazine, a publication owned by the legendary Billie Jean King. This groundbreaking achievement was followed by the first live broadcast of a women's intercollegiate basketball game at Bowling Green, also in 1973.
After graduating, Denny transitioned to a career in marketing, utilizing his sales and marketing acumen to excel in his role. He also pursued modeling and voiceover work, further diversifying his skills. In the early 2010s, his youngest son, Giovanni, began to pursue a career in live theater and film, rekindling Denny's passion for acting.
As the Northeast Ohio film industry gained momentum and recognition, Denny emerged from behind the scenes to take on various supporting and feature roles in independent and feature films shot in Ohio. He has also worked in production leadership positions, bringing his expertise to the forefront.
