Denise Mone't, a native of Houston, Texas, has built a remarkable career in the entertainment industry. Her academic background in Business Management at Sam Houston State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree, and her Master's degree from Lamar University, laid the foundation for her future success.
As a multi-talented individual, Denise has worn many hats - writer, director, producer, actress, and now editor. Her impressive directorial credits include five independent feature films: Hidden Agenda, Behind Closed Doors 2, The Ring Widow, My New BFF, and Dirty Thirty. Notably, she has written four out of the five films she has directed, showcasing her versatility and creative prowess.
In addition to her writing and directing credits, Denise has also assistant directed several projects, including Cairo's Egypt and A Reason To Live. Her passion for the arts led her to discover her natural talent in acting, which she has honed through her appearances in several independent films, a television show, and a few theatre productions.
Some of her notable roles include TV One's Fatal Attraction, a feature film starring comedian Rodney Perry, and The Killing Secret starring Blue Kimble. Denise has had the privilege of working with renowned artists such as Tyler Perry, Greg Alan Williams, Jamal Woolard, and Jasmine Lewis.
Her outstanding performance in the independent film, What's, earned her the best actress award at the TPN film festival. Denise's entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own production company, Purple Hart Productions, in 2014, inspired by her admiration for comedian Kevin Hart.
As a devoted Christian, mother, and educator, Denise has recently opened another LLC, Break A Leg Studios, with the aim of starting acting classes for thespians in her community. Her ultimate goal is to create opportunities for everyone in the independent film industry by producing films and TV series right here in Houston, Texas.
