Born on January 29, 1948, in Genoa, Italy, Delia Boccardo was an Italian actress who graced the screens for over four decades. She spent her early years in a small fishing village called Nervi before moving to Switzerland and London to study at colleges. After returning to Italy, she enrolled in a film school in Rome.
Delia made her film debut at the age of 18 in the "spaghetti western" Death Walks in Laredo (1967). She then co-starred with French actor Philippe Leroy in the action adventure drama L'occhio selvaggio (1967) before appearing in her third film, Inspector Clouseau (1968),alongside Alan Arkin.
Throughout the late 1960s and 1970s, Delia became a seductive foil and/or love interest in numerous films. She co-starred with some of Europe's most handsome and virile actors, including Franco Nero, Bekim Fehmiu, Giancarlo Giannini, Pierre Clémenti, Nino Manfredi, Scott Holden, Luc Merenda, and Jean-Claude Killy.
In the 1980s, Delia continued to appear in films, including the Italian-made Hercules (1983),starring Lou Ferrigno, and the TV-movie The Day Christ Died (1980). She also portrayed Mary Magdalene in the TV-movie The Day Christ Died (1980) and was part of the multi-star cast of the WWII historical drama The Assisi Underground (1985).
Since then, Delia has primarily appeared in Italian films, including Aphrodite (1982),Sposi (1988),The Return of Casanova (1992),Dichiarazioni d'amore (1994),Questo è il giardino (1999),and Sole negli occhi (2001). She finished her career on TV as the star of the Italian romantic drama series Incantesimo (1998).
