Deepti Kingra-Mickelsen, born on October 14th, in Jabalpur, India, to a Punjabi father and a Malayali mother, is a multilingual individual fluent in Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, and conversational in Punjabi. Her family relocated to San Diego, California, when she was just 10 years old.
Before venturing into the world of film, Deepti began her training in theatre, which laid the foundation for her future endeavors. She graduated from California State University of Northridge with a degree in theatre, showcasing her dedication to the craft.
Classically trained in Kathak, Deepti's passion for dance extends beyond traditional forms, as she enjoys exploring various styles. Additionally, she has studied martial arts and has demonstrated exceptional skill with sword and staff.
Apart from being an accomplished actor, Deepti also held the position of artistic director for an independent not-for-profit theatre company for five years prior to relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for film and television.
