DeAnna Cali, a talented American actor, was born in Flagstaff, Arizona to Father John M. Cali Jr and mother Debbie Ann Cali. Growing up in Northern Arizona, the family later relocated to Sedona and Cottonwood, Arizona, where DeAnna's early passion for youth musical theater and Church productions began at the tender age of 4.
As the family moved to Tempe, Arizona, DeAnna's mother, Debbie, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite a three-year battle, Debbie passed away in 2001 when DeAnna was just 16 years old. This challenging period had a profound impact on DeAnna's life and fueled her determination to pursue her acting career.
DeAnna's big break came when she auditioned for a local independent film, "Running on Empty Dreams". Director Nitara Osbourne was impressed with her performance and offered her two roles in the film: Trisha Jameson, the loan officer, and the voice-over for the teacher. Her dramatic scene with lead actor Jose Rosete earned her the "Best Dramatic Actress" award at the 2009 Phoenix Film Festival.
She was personally chosen by the director to play Nicole Odom, a marathon victim in the Netflix docudrama "The Hunt for the Boston Bombers", which was filmed by National Geographic. This role showcased DeAnna's range as a dramatic actress and further established her as a professional powerhouse in the industry.
DeAnna also co-hosted the local TV show "Arizona Sports and Lifestyle Magazine", highlighting the valley's entertainment and restaurants. Following her move to Los Angeles, she appeared on ABC's prime-time shows "Revenge", "The Goldbergs", and "The Mindy Project".
In addition to her television work, DeAnna filmed the Project Greenlight short "Don't Be Leary" with director Sean Patrick Murphy, who was a top 10 finalist in 2014.
