Dean Lawrence was born in the city of Bristol, England, in the year 1962. At the tender age of 11, he embarked on a journey that would shape his future, enrolling in the prestigious Barbara Speake Stage School. His early start in the world of entertainment paved the way for his subsequent success in the feature film Robin Hood Junior, where he played the iconic role of Edmund in 1974.
Dean's impressive resume continued to grow with his appearances in the West End musical production of Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat in 1973 and Carry On London in 1974. However, it was his portrayal of Tyso Boswell in the beloved television series "The Tomorrow People" from 1974 to 1977 that cemented his status as a household name.
Following his departure from "The Tomorrow People," Dean went on to play another memorable role as Ron in the seven-episode series "Westaway" in 1977. He also appeared in various stage productions and explored his passion for modeling from 1977 to 1978.
After a brief hiatus from acting, Dean returned to his hometown of Bristol in 1978 and established his own business, specializing in the design and sale of unique and unusual clothing. Although he has since retired from the spotlight, Dean has occasionally made appearances in small parts for BBC TV and film productions.
In a heartwarming reunion, Dean joined the majority of the original cast of "The Tomorrow People" in 1998 for the video documentary Beyond the Tomorrow People.
