Daxing Zhang's illustrious acting career began with a pivotal role in Bernardo Bertolucci's esteemed film, "The Last Emperor". This marked the starting point of his journey in the entertainment industry, which would soon take him to the vibrant city of Los Angeles in the late 1990s.
Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Daxing quickly made a name for himself by working on numerous high-profile network TV projects and studio features. His impressive resume includes notable films such as Warner Brothers' groundbreaking sci-fi epic, "The Matrix", and Sony Pictures' action-packed franchise, "Charlie's Angels" (I & II),where he excelled in both acting and action unit management.
As a seasoned writer/producer, Daxing spent over two decades honing his craft, bringing his creative vision to the forefront. One of his most notable credits includes serving as a key creative producer on Keanu Reeves' directorial debut film, "Man of Tai Chi".
After a hiatus from acting, Daxing returned to the spotlight in 2024, taking on starring roles in Meng-hung Chong's "The Embers" and Jan. P. Matusyinski's "Minghun". In the latter, he played the second lead opposite Marcin Dorocinski, one of Poland's most renowned lead actors.
For those unfamiliar with his name, Daxing's pronunciation is often compared to the opening word in the classic holiday tune, "Jingle Bells". Prior to his entry into the entertainment industry, Daxing received his B.A. degree from Middlebury College in Vermont, having initially attended Renmin University in Beijing, China.
