David Vernon is a renowned producer and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, currently working on the latest installment in the 'Cities of Love' series, "LA I Love You". He previously served as a producer and writer on the film "Berlin, I Love You", where he wrote four segments, including "Berlin Ride" directed by Peter Chelsom and starring Jim Sturgess, and "Lucinda in Berlin" starring Luke Wilson and Dianna Agron.
Vernon's notable credits also include writing the screenplay for "The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green", based on Eric Orner's comic strip, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was released theatrically by Regent Films. His upcoming projects include writing and producing "Black Knight" for The Really Useful Film Company, as well as "Close Your Eyes and See". Additionally, he is a writer/producer on several other projects, including "One", "Dance With The One Who Brought You", and "The List".
Born and raised in New York, Vernon is the son of cult comedian Jackie Vernon, who was the voice of Frosty the Snowman. He studied film at New York University and worked as the Head of Development for a producer at Warner Bros. Vernon is also a published fiction writer, and his essay about growing up as the son of the voice of Frosty was published on Salon.com and included in a hardcover book. He has taught screenwriting in both New York and Los Angeles, and was chosen to be a member of the Find Film Writer's Lab. Vernon currently resides in Los Angeles.
