David Kriegel was born in 1969 in New York City, New York, USA. He is a former retired US actor and director, known for his roles in films such as Speed (1994),Leaving Las Vegas (1995),and Alive (1993).
As a native of New Jersey, David began studying and working in the theater at the age of twelve. Upon graduation from high school, he went on to study at The Julliard School. He started his acting career in 1990, starring as Kevin Ness in an episode of the TV series 21 Jump Street, titled "Change of Heart". He later moved on to star in the 1994 film Speed, playing the character Terry.
Besides acting, David has also directed the TV series VIP Passport in 2006. He is particularly well-known in Italy for his participation in the film The Accidental Detective alongside Vanna Paoli.
David is married to his wife Amy, and they have four children together. He retired from acting, directing, and producing in film and television in 2005 and 2006, at the age of 37. As of June 2014, he owns a unique children's dance studio, Creation Station Studio City, with his wife Amy in Studio City, Los Angeles.
