This eclectic mix of influences includes the renowned composing geniuses John Williams, Quincy Jones, Maurice White, and Prince. Additionally, electrifying artists such as Michael Jackson, David Copperfield, Bruce Lee, Denzel Washington, and Johnny Depp have also played a significant role in shaping his creative vision. Furthermore, enigmatic visionaries like Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ian Fleming, Rod Serling, Spike Lee, and his own parents, Jennifer and Wayne Chin, have all had a profound impact on his artistic development.
With the unwavering support and blessing of his parents, David's initial steps led him to the world of music, where his written work took the form of song. However, his flair for theatrics soon led him to bring his songs to life on the stage. The transition from stage to screen was a natural progression.
David's foray into film mirrored his start in music, as he began writing, producing, and perfecting his unique sound independently. This time, he partnered with his long-time childhood friend and co-author, Stephen Herman, to establish their company Broken Box.
