Dave Campbell is a multifaceted individual with a rich background in the entertainment industry, music, and entrepreneurship. Born on April 17th, 1971, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Kathleen M. Kassanitsh and Paul L. Campbell, he was the second of five children.
From an early age, performing played a significant role in his life. He began playing the trumpet in elementary school and honed his skills by imitating his favorite stand-up comedians in front of his family and classmates. This laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
In 1988, Campbell started his first band, Ground Zero, with a few high school friends. He spent the next 17 years as the drummer for the east coast favorites Ashes to Ashes, recording nine full-length releases. After Ashes to Ashes, he went on to form two new musical projects, Silk9 and Sovereign, with which he still performs, records, and tours.
In addition to his music career, Campbell is also an actor, having made his debut in 2007 with the film "Fist of the Vampire." He has since appeared in seven films, ranging from extra roles in "Out of the Furnace" to supporting character roles in various other films.
As a father, Campbell is proud of his son, Paul Campbell, who also follows in his footsteps by acting and playing music. Paul can be seen in "Perks of Being a Wallflower" and has toured with his bands The Harvest Colour, The Amplifiers, and Tobacco Road.
In his free time, Campbell enjoys home improvement and building projects, as well as studying the martial art of Tang Soo Do. He is also the owner of Rockstar Studio Tattoos and has his own signature line of cymbals, which he is endorsed by Soultone Cymbals.
Campbell currently resides in his hometown of Hopewell, located in Western Pennsylvania, approximately 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. Despite his busy schedule, he makes time for his family and continues to work on various projects, including his music, acting, and entrepreneurial ventures.
