Dariush Anthony Moslemi was born on March 7th, 1979, in Naperville, Illinois, and grew up in Illinois, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Stillwater, Minnesota, surrounded by his mother, father, and brother Cyrus Alexander, who is also an actor.
After completing high school, Dariush attended Iowa State University, where he initially pursued a degree in Astrophysics, driven by his passion for science. However, his natural aptitude for public speaking and the arts led him to switch to Communications. Following his graduation, he embarked on a self-employed career in the financial world.
Dariush's foray into the entertainment industry began with a stint as Executive Producer of the play "Knuckleball" at the Iowa Fringe Festival, where he received a runner-up award. This experience sparked a desire to pursue a career in the arts, and he eventually left the financial sector to focus on his true calling.
In Stillwater, Minnesota, Dariush opened Studio One Yoga and Massage with his wife, where he had a chance encounter with Executive Producer Scott Peterson at a lawn bowling tournament in Minneapolis. Just three days and one audition later, Dariush landed the lead role of "Brian" in the TV series "The Current" (2012),marking his acting debut.
This initial success was followed by a lead role as Jeremy in the horror-comedy short film "Ghost Town" (2012) and a role as the dubious and violent personality "Zach" in the thriller "Group Therapy" (2012). Dariush then secured the lead role of "John" in the family film "The Elijah Project" (2014),after initially being turned down for a smaller part. His attitude and portrayal of the lead character impressed the producer and director, leading to him being cast in the starring role.
Currently, Dariush resides in Stillwater, Minnesota, with his wife Sarah and their five children.
