Cosmo's life began in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, where his early years would shape his future endeavors. A pivotal moment arrived when he was just two years old, as his father's unorthodox parenting method pushed him to test his limits. With his father's encouragement, Cosmo was thrown off the diving board, and in a remarkable display of resilience, he swam to the side, marking the beginning of his diving journey.
Fast-forward to 1994, when Cosmo competed in the World High Diving Championships in Silver Springs, Florida, taking home the Bronze medal. This achievement would serve as a springboard for his stunt career, which was soon to take off.
In 1999, Guinness Primetime Television Show in Los Angeles extended an invitation to Cosmo to attempt to break the World Record for the Highest Dive into the Shallowest Water. The challenge was daunting, as the current record stood at 28 feet into 12 1/2 inches of water. Undaunted, Cosmo trained tirelessly, and on September 24th, 1999, he successfully broke the record by diving 29 feet into 12 1/2 inches of water.
Cosmo's determination and skill did not go unnoticed, as he was soon invited to break his own record in Munich, Germany. In April 2000, he accomplished this feat by diving 29 feet and 1 inch into 12 inches of water. He would go on to break his own record two more times, with his current record standing at 29 feet 5 inches into 12 inches of water.
As Cosmo's stunt career continued to flourish, he made the transition to stunt coordinating in 2011. With over 20 stunt coordinator credits to his name, he has established himself as a go-to coordinator for several Louisiana producers and directors. Today, Cosmo resides in New Orleans, where he works as a stuntman/actor and continues to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
