Danna Paola Rivera Munguía, professionally known as Danna Paola, is a talented Mexican actress, singer, and model born on June 23, 1995. Her remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age, starring in numerous television projects throughout her childhood and adolescence.
Growing up in Mexico City, Mexico, Danna Paola is the daughter of Patricia Munguía and Juan José Rivera Arellano, a former singer of Grupo Ciclón and Los Caminantes. Her parents' divorce during her childhood had a significant impact on her life. She has an older sister, Vania, who also accompanied her to Televisa's casting call for Plaza Sésamo, the Mexican version of Sesame Street, in 1999.
At just four years old, Danna Paola and her sister were cast in the popular children's show, appearing in several episodes. One year later, in 2000, she landed her first lead role in the telenovela, Rayito de Luz, at the age of five. Her breakthrough role came in 2001 when she received her first lead role in the children's telenovela, María Belén, and released her debut album, titled Mi Globo Azul.
After years of establishing herself as a child actress and singer, Danna Paola began working on her fourth solo studio album in 2011. This album marked her debut as a "grown-up" solo recording artist, showcasing her growth as an artist and shedding her image as a child actress. The lead single, "Ruleta," written by Mexican pop singer Paty Cantú, was released in 2012. The official music video premiered on Paola's official VEVO channel on March 14, 2012, and the single rose to number 32 on the Top Mexican Airplay charts in July 2012.
