Daniela Barbosa was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and relocated to Ontario, Canada at a young age with her family, where she began to nurture her passion for the arts during her time at a Catholic arts school.
Initially, Daniela's interest in the arts was sparked by art history, but she soon discovered the world of performing arts, thanks to a perceptive teacher who encouraged her to pursue acting classes outside of school.
This led her to Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto, where she received her first formal training in audition technique and on-set etiquette from renowned acting coach Dean Armstrong, who recognized her natural talent and helped her secure agency representation.
Over the following years, Daniela honed her craft, studying Meisner technique, scene study, and on-camera performance under some of the most respected mentors in Toronto and Los Angeles.
Her journey later brought her to Australia, where she immersed herself in a vibrant theatre community that offered invaluable guidance and inspiration, deepening her love for the stage through performances in works by Noël Coward, Oscar Wilde, and William Shakespeare.
Embracing the discipline and versatility required for live performance, Daniela continues to build a career grounded in passion, artistry, and dedication, committed to growing into the kind of actor she is proud to be - one who honours both the craft and the storytelling tradition she so deeply loves.
