Biography

Daniel McVicar, a talented actor with a strong presence in both Italy and Los Angeles, is a shining example of a Hollywood export embracing independent European production. His earlier success in television introduced him to a worldwide audience, but it was his extensive travels that allowed him to connect with international filmmakers.

Born as one of 12 children in Colorado, Daniel McVicar relocated to the Los Angeles area to pursue his passion for acting. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts and honed his craft in Hollywood under the guidance of renowned instructors such as Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Paul Sills, and Milton Katselas. Additionally, he participated in a Shakespeare Intensive at London's prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

In the United States, Daniel McVicar is recognized for his comedic appearances on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and his roles in "The Elizabeth Taylor Story" and "The Bold and the Beautiful". He has also had a prolific career in Italy and Europe, where he maintains a home and continues to work extensively. Some of his notable projects include "Men vs. Women" for Fausto Brizzi, the cult science fiction film "Dark Resurrection", and his appearance as Diabolik in the cult video clip for the Italian musical group Tiromancino.

As a member of Mensa, Daniel McVicar has been able to pick up languages, including Russian, and has worked with award-winning director Dimitris Astrakhan on the film "The Fourth Planet". He is also the founder of MagmaWave, a production company based in Los Angeles and Torino, Italy, which has produced new media, full-length "Making Of" documentaries, promotional videos, and feature films in development or TV series, such as "Good and Evil" (2009). Daniel McVicar is not only an accomplished actor but also a producer, writer, and director, with his short film "Always a First Time" chosen as part of the best of the fest at the Salento Film Festival. He was also a pioneer in online video with his award-winning show and community LateNiteMash.
