Person Biography:
Daniel Lee White is a native New Englander who has been passionate about the performing arts since his early years. Growing up, he would create his own homemade films and critique movies made during the 1980s with his father, which sparked his desire to dedicate his life to the arts.
Daniel's extensive experience spans across various aspects of the industry, including acting, directing, editing, and teaching. He has honed his acting skills through performances in feature and independent films, as well as theatrical works. Some of his notable roles include Blood Wedding, McMulligan's Hovel, and Walking Shadows.
As a director, Daniel has guided numerous independent films and theatrical productions. His short film, Used Books, was an official selection at the 2007 Rhode Island International Film Festival, while The Pitch, a 48 Hour Film Project production he directed, won awards for Audience Favorite and 2nd Runner Up.
Daniel has also worked behind the scenes, serving as an editor for the 5am-7am morning newscast at Providence's CBS/Fox Station WPRI/WNAC and holding positions on films such as Out of the Black, All Shook Up, and Mothman Prophecies. He is an active board member of the Rhode Island Film Collaborative.
In addition to his work in the film industry, Daniel teaches acting classes for children throughout New England and filmmaking to youth in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, through NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley.
Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Theatre Arts from Franklin Pierce College, which he graduated from in 2000. He currently resides in Providence with his fiancée Kerri and their super rabbit named Emily. Daniel is also the creator and owner of Love Thy Job, a multimedia company dedicated to promoting the arts.
