Daniel Keith was born and raised in Bedford, Texas, a small ranching town where he developed a passion for the performing arts from a young age. As a child, he was actively involved in acting troops and later became the lead singer and songwriter in various bands. His interest in the arts led him to pursue a degree in Liberal Arts at the University of North Texas.
Following his undergraduate studies, Daniel enrolled in several prestigious acting schools in New York City, including Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Circle in the Square Theater School, Atlantic Theater, and Magnet Theater. His dedication to his craft earned him a spot at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, where he further honed his skills in 2021.
Daniel's impressive acting career began to take off in 2013, when his short film, Rambler, won him several Best Actor awards. This recognition led to a string of notable television appearances, including roles on Person of Interest (NBC),Blacklist (NBC),Blindspot (CBS),and Marvel's Luke Cage (Netflix).
In addition to his acting work, Daniel made his directorial debut in 2021 with the romantic comedy, Love in Kilnerry, which he also wrote, produced, and starred in. The film was distributed by Archway Pictures and premiered in over 100 cities, where it played for 21 weeks against summer blockbusters. The film's international release in 2022 was met with critical acclaim, earning 45 awards and 26 nominations, including a nomination for the Chris Brinker Award at the San Diego International Film Festival.
Daniel's impressive résumé includes 29 awards and 21 nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. In 2022, he won the Best Comedy Screenplay award at the Berlin Independent Film Festival for a new $5 million comedy he is currently filming in Los Angeles, CA.
As a playwright, Daniel has written several stage plays, one acts, and comedies that have been performed at Manhattan Theater Club Studios in New York City.
