Biography

Daniel Dresner is a multifaceted individual with a rich and diverse background. Born in Bolivia, he grew up in Liverpool and London, before spending formative years in Tokyo, Japan, and eventually training and working in New York City. His parents, a Scottish engineer and an English artist, instilled in him a strong foundation for his future endeavors.

After earning an honors degree in Business, Dresner spent seven years with the multinational corporation Olivetti, rising to the position of Divisional Manager in the UK. However, he eventually left to pursue his passion for the performing arts, and his journey as an actor, voice artist, coach, and teacher began.

In Tokyo, Dresner became a theater director, teacher, and working actor, taking on his first stage role as Tony in A Woman in Mind by Alan Ayckbourn. He also appeared in his first feature film, Nostradamus, as the Archangel Gabriel, and had his first TV roles in the variety show Tunnels on Fuji TV.

Recognizing the importance of further training, Dresner moved to New York City, where he studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and earned a certificate of excellence. He went on to appear in numerous stage productions, including playing Puck in Midsummer Night's Dream and Feste in 12th Night in rep in front of 600 people a night for three months in Washington Square Park.

After six years in NYC, Dresner returned to London, where he continued to build his acting resume. He eventually qualified as a life and acting coach, coaching hundreds of actors, from stars to newcomers. He is also the author of A Life-Coaching Approach to Screen Acting, published by Bloomsbury/Methuen, which has sold over 1000 copies worldwide in its first two years.

Throughout his career, Dresner has appeared in over 100 films, 75 commercials, and 100 plays, as well as voicing games, narrations, commercials, corporate videos, and ADR. One of his most notable claims to fame is his work on ADR for The Boxer, where he provided the voice of the commentator, an army officer, and much of the crowd, alongside Daniel Day Lewis.
