Dane DiLiegro's remarkable journey to Hollywood has been marked by a diverse array of experiences, accomplishments, and passions.
Born in Massachusetts, he excelled as a four-year starter for the NCAA Division I University of New Hampshire Wildcats basketball team, where he won a gold medal at the 2009 summer Maccabiah Games in Israel.
Upon graduating, he left his mark on the basketball world by holding the second all-time rebounding record, before embarking on an eight-year professional basketball career with top-level teams in Italy and Israel, utilizing his impressive 6'8" 245lb physique.
During his time in Italy, he had the unique opportunity to live with and apprentice under world-renowned Tuscan butcher Dario Cecchini for a period of five years, a experience that has continued to influence his passion for culinary arts, which he still actively pursues through his YouTube channel focused on food and travel.
In the summer of 2019, Dane made the decision to retire from professional basketball and pursue a career in acting, a move that proved to be a quick success, as he booked his first acting role as Muscle Monster in the Netflix show Sweet Home just two weeks later.
He has since appeared in a variety of projects, including The Walking Dead and Side Hustle, as well as American Horror Stories, where he portrayed the titular character Ba'al in the fifth episode opposite Billie Lourd.
Additionally, Dane has also made appearances in Doja Cat's music video Get Into It (Yuh) and starred as The Predator in the 2022 film Prey.
Furthermore, he is set to appear in Tom Delonge's upcoming feature film Monsters of California and Lucasfilm's upcoming Star Wars show, Skeleton Crew.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Dane continues to hone his craft by attending the Stella Adler Academy, and remains committed to pursuing his dream of starring in film and television, despite his imposing stature.
