Damien is a seasoned writer and director with over a decade of experience in creating animated content for prominent networks and streaming platforms. His impressive portfolio includes directing animated works for Netflix, Disney, Nickelodeon, and Apple TV.
Notably, in 2018, Damien received three Emmy nominations for his writing and directing work on "Angela's Christmas", an adaptation of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Frank McCourt's only children's book, "Angela and the Baby Jesus". This critically acclaimed project showcased his exceptional storytelling abilities and attention to detail.
Building on his success, Damien received two additional Emmy nominations in 2020 for the 45-minute sequel, "Angela's Christmas Wish", which he wrote and directed for Netflix. This sequel featured an all-star voice cast, including Jared Harris, Ruth Negga, and Caitriona Balfe.
Prior to his work on the "Angela's Christmas" films, Damien directed over 30 episodes of the Peabody award-winning "Doc McStuffins" for Disney. He also served as Supervising Director on "Butterbean's Cafe" for Nickelodeon and more recently, he oversaw the production of "Eva The Owlet", a series based on the New York Times bestselling Scholastic book series "Owl Diaries" by award-winning author Rebecca Elliott for Scholastic Entertainment Inc. and Apple TV.
In addition to his impressive body of work, Damien has received a development grant from Screen Ireland for his animated feature screenplay, "Two Mile Boris". He is also actively developing numerous personal projects at various stages of production.
