Cutter Hodierne's life began with a profound departure from the norm, as his parents, in a bold move, sold all their belongings, abandoned their careers, and purchased a 32-foot cutter-rigged sailboat, which would serve as the inspiration for his name. This unconventional start to his life set the stage for a journey that would take him to the South Pacific Ocean, where he spent the first three years of his life sailing amidst the vast expanse of the Pacific.
Years later, at the age of 22, Hodierne embarked on an extraordinary adventure, joining the legendary rock band U2 on their monumental world tour, serving as their "filmmaker on the road." During this time, he was responsible for capturing online content, directing, and editing various pieces for the iconic concert film "U2: 360°at the Rose Bowl."
As his career continued to unfold, Hodierne, now 24, utilized the earnings he accumulated from his time on tour to fund his next project, a journey to East Africa, where he directed the critically acclaimed short film "Fishing Without Nets." This cinematic masterpiece would go on to win the prestigious Grand Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
In a testament to his remarkable talent and dedication, Hodierne would later take home the Directing Award for drama at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014, solidifying his position as a visionary filmmaker.
