Cristina Nava, a talented and accomplished individual, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she currently resides. With a impressive resume, she is an award-winning WGA screenwriter, award-winning director, and veteran producer of independent films and television content.
In 2022, Cristina took on a new challenge, stepping into the role of director. Her journey as a director continued to unfold in 2024, when the feature film romantic comedy "Say a Little Prayer" had its theatrical run and is now available on Prime Video and Apple TV.
This romantic comedy, starring multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Luis Fonsi, was executive produced by Edward James Olmos, directed by Patrick Perez Vidauri, and written by Nancy De Los Santos, associate producer on "Selena" and "Mi Familia". Cristina also co-wrote and produced the romantic comedy feature film "Divorce Bait", which was originally acquired by Samuel Goldwyn and is currently available on Tubi.
Cristina's work in the film industry also includes writing and producing the award-winning romantic comedy "In Other Words", starring Chris Kattan (SNL),Edy Ganem ("Devious Maids"),Bryan McClure (Star Command, Atlanta),Renee Victor (With Love),which was acquired and released in February 2020 on HBOMax and is currently streaming on Tubi.
As a successful writer and producer, Cristina decided to take her artistry to the next level as a director, so she directed her college friend's movie, "Free Lunch", as her directorial debut. Her hard work paid off, as she won Best Feature and Best Director at festivals. "Free Lunch" is available on Prime Video and other streaming channels.
