Born in Madrid to a family of actors, the daughter of renowned actor Adolfo Marsillach and actress and model María Teresa del Río Martínez del Cerro, who was crowned Miss Spain in 1960. Her sister Blanca is also an accomplished actress.
As a child, she was enrolled in various extracurricular activities, including piano, body expression, and ceramics classes. Her early introduction to the world of cinema began at the tender age of thirteen, with a minor role in the film "Mrs. Garcia Confesses". Subsequently, she delved deeper into the industry by creating and working on short films, where she honed her skills as a script and lighting technician.
Her breakthrough film role arrived with "El Poderoso Influjo de la Luna", followed by notable appearances in "Crime in the Family", "The Sea and Time", and "Last Days with Teresa". She also made a name for herself in television, featuring in popular shows such as "High School" and the second season of "Chronicle of the Sunrise".
In addition to her acting career, she serves as the artistic director of the esteemed Marsillach Acting Academy in Madrid, Spain.
Her most iconic film remains the 1986 drama "Every Time We Say Goodbye", in which she starred alongside the legendary Tom Hanks.
