Craig Perry founded Practical Pictures in 2004 alongside Sheila Taylor. Since its inception, the production company has been involved in various projects, including the sixth installment in New Line Cinema's FINAL DESTINATION franchise, directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, and written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. The film is being produced in partnership with director Jon Watts, known for his work on the SPIDER-MAN franchise.
Practical Pictures has also been working on Lionsgate's CELLAR DOOR, starring Scott Speedman, Jordana Brewster, and Laurence Fishburne, directed by Vaughn Stein, and produced in partnership with Culmination Films. The company has a track record of producing successful films, including Universal's BREAKING IN, starring Gabrielle Union, directed by James McTeigue, and produced in partnership with Will Packer Productions.
Prior to founding Practical Pictures, Craig Perry was a partner at Zide/Perry Entertainment, where he worked on various productions, including Universal's AMERICAN PIE franchise, New Line Cinema's FINAL DESTINATION franchise, Warner Bros' CATS & DOGS franchise, Sony Pictures' LITTLE BLACK BOOK and THE BIG HIT, and Helkon Media's REPLIKATE.
Craig Perry also served as Vice President of Development for Scott Rudin Productions and Director Of Development for Silver Pictures. He was an Associate Producer on THE FIRST WIVES CLUB and developed films such as RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, SLEEPY HOLLOW, A SIMPLE PLAN, THE TRUMAN SHOW, IN & OUT, RANSOM, CLUELESS, LETHAL WEAPON 3, EXECUTIVE DECISION, RICHIE RICH, DEMOLITION MAN, and more.
In addition to his work in the film industry, Craig Perry has also been featured in the documentary film THE HORROR CROWD, directed by Ruben Pla, and is featured in the JoBlo Original multi-episode docu-series 80s HORROR MEMORIES. He has also guest lectured at various universities, including Syracuse University Los Angeles, USC, UCLA, NYU, UGA, Syracuse University, Towson University, Columbia College, Olympic College, and Pixar.
