Cody Deal, a talented individual, embarked on his Hollywood journey by starring in the Syfy Original Movie, Almighty Thor, alongside Richard Grieco and Patricia Velasquez in 2011.
Growing up in Sedan, Kansas, a town with a population of approximately 1,000, Cody spent his summer vacations working on a local ranch, bucking hay to support his family from the 6th grade to his senior year in high school.
As a high-achieving student, Cody graduated as Valedictorian of his class, Senior Class President, and 1st-Team All-State shooting Forward, averaging 20.4 points per game. His initial aspirations lay in playing professional sports, but a series of sport-related injuries to his hand and forearm forced him to reevaluate his career path.
Cody's aspirations shifted towards acting, and he relocated to Las Vegas for a brief stint, where he worked with acting coach Gerald Gordon, who had also trained Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody. With a month of acting training, Cody traveled to Los Angeles to audition for the title role in Marvel's Thor.
After just three months in Los Angeles, Cody packed his bags and made the city his permanent residence. Eighteen months later, he landed his first starring role as the same character in the film Almighty Thor.
Throughout his acting journey, Cody has continued to hone his craft by studying with renowned acting coaches Ivana Chubbuck, Sharon Chatten, and Janet Alhanti.
Moreover, Cody is proud to identify as Osage, a historic tribe of Native American people. Today, there are as few as 13,000 Osage people worldwide, with Cody and his family being part of this community.
