Clea Iveson, a native of Toronto, embarked on her dance training at the tender age of four at the esteemed Mrs. Daniels School of Dance, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. Her educational journey continued at the National Ballet School, the Joan Kohal School of Dance, and the Lois Smith School of Dance, each institution providing a unique and enriching experience. Upon completing her studies at the School of Dance at George Brown College, now rebranded as George Brown Dance, Clea was offered an apprentice position with the renowned Canada's Ballet Jörgen in 1991, marking the beginning of a 27-year tenure with the company.
Throughout her remarkable career, Clea has been an integral part of the company, contributing to the creation of 55 original dance works, six full-length ballets, and four original children's ballets. Her impressive performance record boasts appearances on stage in 190 distinct Canadian communities, accompanied by over 1,400 performances. Moreover, for the past 16 years, Clea has not only danced but also managed and developed the Education Programming for Canada's Ballet Jörgen, solidifying her position as an essential member of the creative team responsible for the development of new ballets.
