Biography

In the mid-1950s, he crossed paths with the renowned Franco Franchi, and their collaboration resulted in an illustrious partnership that spanned over 130 cinematic endeavors.

However, his impressive repertoire extends far beyond his work with Franchi, as he had the privilege of working with some of Italy's most esteemed filmmakers, including the legendary Federico Fellini, Luigi Comencini, and Pier Paolo Pasolini.

One of the most notable highlights of his career was his memorable performance in Fellini's iconic 1973 film, Amarcord.

In addition to his illustrious film career, he is also the proud father of Giampiero, an accomplished actor who has made a name for himself in both theatre and television.
