Christopher Peters, also known as Chris Peters, is the son of renowned producer Jon Peters, who has worked on iconic films such as Batman, Rain Man, The Color Purple, and Superman Returns, and actress Lesley Ann Warren, a talented actress with Academy Award nominations for her roles in Cinderella, Victor/Victoria, and Desperate Housewives.
Growing up in Malibu, California, Christopher was raised with a strong foundation in the entertainment industry. He completed his education at Beverly Hills High School and Goddard College in Vermont, where he earned a Master's degree in Business and Communications. Upon returning to Hollywood, he joined Warner Bros Records in the A&R department, where he played a crucial role in signing and developing emerging talent.
However, Christopher's passion for acting and producing soon took center stage. He landed a starring role in the CBS television series Morningstar/Eveningstar in 1986, followed by notable film appearances in The Lost Boys, River's Edge, and various made-for-TV specials.
Following in his father's footsteps, Christopher began his career in the film industry by taking an entry-level position at Cannon Films, working his way up the ranks under the guidance of Golan Globus. After several years, he was offered creative executive positions at various film companies, but ultimately decided to join Peters Entertainment as director of development.
In the late 1990s, Christopher developed and sold a new take on the Robin Hood franchise to Warner Bros, securing a producing title and his first major studio film as producer. The following year, he rose to Vice President of Peters Entertainment, developing projects such as Superman Returns, Akira, The Blob, A Star is Born, and others.
Recently, Christopher has formed his own company and is currently working on several projects in collaboration with Warner Bros. One of his most recent projects is Mad Monster Party (2011),which he is producing alongside Basil Iwanyk of Thunder Road.
