Christophe Ivins, a multifaceted professional with a Master of Fine Arts degree, holds a dual role as a producer/director for the Department of the Air Force and an Air Force Reserve Public Affairs Officer, having accumulated over fifteen years of experience in the realms of motion picture production and post-production.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ivins has had the privilege of working on visual effects for numerous studio films, including a remarkable six Academy Award-winning productions. His impressive credits include the iconic films Titanic, Avatar, and Life of Pi, among others.
In addition to his visual effects expertise, Ivins has also had the opportunity to work behind the camera, serving as a camera operator and Steadicam expert for a variety of productions. Some of his notable credits include Darren Aronofsky's critically acclaimed film Noah, the hip-hop infused comedy Ups & Downs featuring Snoop Dogg, and the Academy Award-winning West Bank Story.
Ivins' extensive travels have taken him to distant locations such as Cambodia, India, Germany, the glaciers of Alaska, and the war-torn regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary, where he worked on projects with NATO Peace Implementation Forces during his deployments.
Throughout his career, Ivins has had the privilege of collaborating with industry legends, including the renowned filmmaker James Cameron, and training under the guidance of the esteemed cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, whose work on films such as The Deer Hunter and Close Encounters of the Third Kind is widely recognized.
As a respected member of the film industry, Ivins is affiliated with the Visual Effects Society and the Society of Camera Operators, for which he has served on the Board of Governors.
