Christine Lee is a remarkable actor with a profound impact on audiences in both film and theater. She is most notably recognized for her captivating portrayal of Kyung Son, a refugee who endures a zombie outbreak in the Netflix series, "Black Summer". This popular new series serves as the prequel to the cult-following SYFY series "Z Nation".
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Christine spent a significant portion of her childhood relocating between Vancouver, Seoul, Korea, and Memphis, Tennessee. Her passion for the film industry emerged at a young age. When she was eleven years old, she secretly invested in headshots and contacted managers, defying her parents' initial hesitation to allow her to pursue a career at such a tender age. Undeterred, Christine continued to participate in performing arts throughout her teenage years. In high school, she was cast in a production of A Christmas Carol, which she credits as her first exposure to the world of theater. From that point on, she was actively involved in every production until her graduation.
Upon completing high school, Christine relocated to New York and enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since then, she has taken on a diverse range of roles in films, including COLOSSAL, a festival namesake in 2016 starring Anne Hathaway, OVUM, Universal Pictures' ALIENS ATE MY HOMEWORK, and the popular Netflix series "Travelers". Most recently, Christine lent her voice to Dokkaebi, a rebellious Korean hacker in the popular Ubisoft game, "Rainbow Six Seige".
In 2024, Christine is set to appear in the short film "Two Teachers Walk Into a Bar", a Seattle production.
