Christian Gridelli's journey in the film industry began in 2008 when he graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Film and Video. During his time at the prestigious institution, he participated in the American Pavilion internship program at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007, where he was accepted into the Adobe Reel Ideas Studio. As part of the studio, Christian produced an original short film about the festival alongside a team of other filmmakers.
After completing his degree, Christian immediately began his career in television, working as an associate producer in Chicago. By the time he left, he had an impressive portfolio of 14 episodes of History Channel and Biography Channel programming under his belt, as well as various short form pieces for Comcast OnDemand.
In 2013, Christian co-produced, co-wrote, and directed his first feature-length comedy, The Origins of Wit & Humor. This marked a significant milestone in his career as a filmmaker.
Christian's creative endeavors are often accompanied by his partner, Hunter Norris, with whom he co-founded DimeStore Films. The duo has been working together for nearly a decade, producing and directing over a dozen short films and commercials for some of Chicago's most notable startups. Their impressive portfolio includes a written collection of web series', short films, sketches, ad campaigns, commercial spots, and feature-length projects that number well over two dozen.
As DimeStore Films, Christian and Hunter have screened their shorts at various film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, Chicago's Backyard Film Festival, iO Vidiocy Film Festival, and the Indie Incubator Film Festival. Their short film "5K" won first prize at the Backyard Film Festival.
