Chris Holliday, a multifaceted individual, boasts an impressive educational background, having earned an MBA from one of the top business schools in the country, a successful marketing career, and a newly acquired Master's in Education. This impressive résumé may have led one to wonder why Chris decided to pursue a career in acting in 2007, a decision that, at first glance, may have seemed illogical.
However, Chris had always had a passion for the performing arts. As a child, she would stage shows in her best friend's basement, play the crying princess in her fifth-grade play, and even participate in high school musicals. Her experiences in a graduate school variety show only added to her growing interest in acting. But, as she would say, "didn't everyone?"
Chris's decision to follow her heart and pursue a career in acting led her to enroll in a four-week conservatory program at T.Schreiber Studio. Within months of completing the program, she auditioned for six student films and landed all of them. She also booked several television commercials, including a spot for Optimum Cable.
Her second audition ever resulted in the writers and producers creating a series regular character for her in the TV pilot presentation "Bottled Up." Chris has since had lead and supporting roles in indie features and shorts, and has even scored a series regular role in a TV pilot presentation currently in production.
Born in a Chicago suburb as the oldest of seven children, Chris has lived in various cities, including Indianapolis, Dallas, Austin, Strasbourg, France, and Dublin, Ireland. An education and growth junkie, she recently completed the two-year training program at The William Esper Studio and is excited about the possibilities ahead of her. Chris is grateful for all the experiences that have led her to where she is today and lives just outside New York City with her two children, whom she is very proud of.
