Edgerly's early life was marked by a significant relocation, as he was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, only to move at the tender age of two to Savannah, Georgia, accompanied by his mother and two brothers. This formative experience would later shape his perspective and inform his future endeavors.
As he grew older, Edgerly attended Benedictine Military High School, laying the groundwork for his future academic pursuits. He would later enroll in the University of Georgia, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for entertaining his friends with impressive impressions.
Edgerly's college days were also marked by a brief stint in rugby, which would ultimately serve as a precursor to his foray into stand-up comedy. The encouragement of his roommates prompted him to take the leap, and he began touring the country, utilizing his impressive vocal range to great effect. This 10-year career was punctuated by occasional appearances on Nickelodeon, further solidifying his reputation as a talented performer.
As he entered his early twenties, Edgerly made the decision to relocate to Orlando, only to later move to Los Angeles in pursuit of new opportunities. It was during this period that he began to focus on voiceover work, providing voices for a wide range of projects, including movies, TV shows, and video games. While he still enjoys performing stand-up comedy, voiceover work has become his primary focus.
In recent years, Edgerly has gained recognition for his role as Gobber the Belch in the popular animated series Dragons: Riders of Berk, taking over the character from the renowned Craig Ferguson.
